The staff at Dental on Martyn comprises highly trained dentists and oral health hygienists. We can advise on the right treatments for periodontal (gum) disease and halitosis (bad breath) as well as crowns, teeth whitening procedures and much more.
Our fully equipped dental surgery is only part of our service. We provide education and advice on appropriate oral health practices. We believe that it is important to understand and practise proper cleaning and flossing from an early age, as oral health is an essential part of general health and wellbeing.
Poor teeth and the associated esteem issues can last a lifetime. We want to ensure that not only are your teeth healthy but that you never hide your smile because you're self-conscious of your teeth.
Our dental surgery is proficient in creating and placing ceramic biocompatible CEREC inlays (fillings), onlays, partial crowns, veneers and crowns for anterior and posterior teeth. By using the amazing CEREC 3D video camera, these procedures can be completed in one visit to our practice.
If you're interested in whitening or straightening your teeth, we provide information on the many and varied cosmetic procedures available and discuss the best option for you.
Our friendly, caring staff are happy to answer any dental and oral health questions you may have.
Our Practice Principal
Dr Michael Turner graduated from the University of Queensland in December 1986. After working in Cairns in Far North Queensland for two years, he opened his own practice in the suburb of Earlville in February 1988.
Dr Turner believes in establishing a good rapport with his patients, which has provided a platform for open and clear communication. This allows him to determine the very best and most suitable treatment options for his clients.
Dr Turner was the first dentist in Cairns to integrate the CEREC restorative system into his busy dental practice, which he did in July 2002. He has been involved in the planning and restoration of dental implants since 1994, and continuously updates his knowledge and skills in this exciting field of dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr Turner loves to play his bass guitar and was a founding member of his band, along with some other local dentists, called The Pulp Stones.
Dr Caitlin Bilbe graduated from James Cook University Cairns in 2013. After graduating, she moved to Tasmania and was part of the Voluntary Dental Graduate Year Program. During her time in Tasmania, Caitlin gained clinical experience in a broad range of dental treatment, while enjoying travelling around Tasmania.
Caitlin moved back home to Cairns and joined the team at Dental on Martyn in mid 2015. Caitlin has a gentle approach, which allows her to communicate with her patients and determine their expectations. She gains the most out of dentistry when she knows her patients are pleased with the treatment results, whether it is general or cosmetic dentistry.
Caitlin has a love for animals and enjoys walking her dog Poppy on the esplanade. She also takes pleasure in going to the movies, and like many females, shopping!
